An apartment in Houston promises that you'll always be surrounded by great things to do, but how do you choose just what to do on a night on the town? If you're looking for a throwback to the good old English and Irish pubs, complete with Rugby on the telly and the taps pouring out Guinness, then the Richmond Arms Pub is the place for you. It's a terrific place

to grab a meal, grab a meal, and come away with so much more.

This pub is British through-and-through, to the huge amount of British beers on tap, to the Rugby and Football on their wide-screen television, the English, Irish, Scottish and Australian patrons who can always be found enjoying a pint or partaking in a nice plate of fish and chips. This is not your common beer-hole with loud drunks shouting about the place like maniacs, though if you go the day of a big footie match, don't be surprised if you run into a lot of rambunctious soccer fans wrecking the place.

As far as beer selection goes, the British theme just keeps going. The best of Britain are here, including Old Speckled Hen, Bass, Fuller's and Guinness, as well as local beers such as Shiner Boch, and Houston's old St. Arnold's, as well as beers from Germany, Belgium, Scotland, even the Czech Republic. If wine's more your speed, there's a fine selection of wines, including red, white and even champagne, served by the glass or by the bottle. If Cider's more your speed, there's plenty to go around as well, from traditional apple, the apple pear, as well as popular brands like Woodchuck and Strongbow.

If you're peckish, then you're in luck as well. Richmond Arms has a great selection of English standards such as Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash and Cornish Pie, as well as interesting burgers, such as The Big Ben, covered in cheddar cheese and topped with Bacon, and The Prime Minister, with plenty of Swiss and mushroom gravy. Also, make sure to try out their delicious sandwich, most notably The Landlord, an open-faced Sandwich on French bread covered roast beef, Swiss and gravy.
